This policy explains what SnapHook ("we", "us") collects when you use the SnapHook mobile apps and snaphookapp.com, how we use it, and your choices. Questions: privacy@snaphookapp.com.
What we collect
- Account info: email, name or display name and sign-in identifiers (e.g. Sign in with Apple / Google) via Firebase Authentication.
- Content you create: profile, avatar and style choices, rounds, scores, stats, bag/club details, crew, league and outing data, posts and messages, stored in Google Firebase (Firestore/Storage).
- Location: precise location while you use round/GPS features, to show yardages and course maps. Only with your permission; you can turn it off in device settings. [Confirm: any background location?]
- Purchases: subscription status and transaction records for SnapHook Plus, processed by Apple / Google and managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Advertising: free users may see ads served by Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers (e.g. IDFA/AAID) subject to your device's tracking settings and consent prompts.
- Diagnostics & analytics: crash reports and performance data (Sentry) and product usage events (PostHog), such as screens viewed and features used, with device and app version info.
- Support: what you send us by email.
How we use it
To run the app and your account, show yardages and scores, sync across devices, process Plus subscriptions, show ads to free users, fix crashes, improve features, keep the community safe, and respond to you. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing
Content you post to crews, leagues or feeds is visible to the people you share it with. We share data with the providers above, when required by law, or as part of a business transfer.
Retention & deletion
We keep data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app (Settings) or by emailing privacy@snaphookapp.com; we delete or anonymize your data within [30] days, except where we must keep it by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA), you may access, correct, delete or export your data and object to certain processing. Email privacy@snaphookapp.com.
Children
SnapHook is not directed to children under 13 [confirm age gate], and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
Changes
We will post updates here and notify you in the app of material changes.
